HU User’s Guide

In addition to the recent addition of a download page for the
compiled v4 mod, we have added two other new pages.

The first is one dedicated to ATV skins. This mod is applied
on an individual basis and will not effect or require the
usage of mod v4.

The other is the Limit Remover utility. This is a “trainer”
program and works with or without any other mods.

You can find these new pages, as well as the demo and support
site links, the HU User’s Guide, MOA charts, and the FAQs in
the menu located in the right side bar.

With all the interest in modifying HU, we have added a page
dedicated to mods.

There you will find the latest Mod v4, with added weapons,
weapons graphics and a new hunter.

Be sure to download the appropriate HU2008 before
you download the hu09 mod or HU4 mod. They will
give you the same features, but are specific to which version
you are running.

LH will be updating the HU Guide to the incorporate the
Hunting Unlimited 2009 over the next little bit. As a result
for a while the guide will be a mixture of new and old pages
and graphics.

We have compiled the original HU3/HU4 Guide into this 668kb
PDF for downloading. The hu08 guide will be compiled into a
PDF for downloading soon.

As all of the HU community has realized Hunting Unlimited
2008 was released June 2007. New things added to the game are
Wild Turkey, a turkey decoy, weapons, and call. The animals
response to the calls has vastly improved to the previous HU
games. You still have the previous realistic responding
animals, maps, equipment, and weapons that were in HU4. There
is more challenges approximately 16 more .. giving you over 60
+ challenges to hone your skills. Tutorial challenges for
those wanting to learn the basics before jumping into
Tournaments.

Some may not know this but all the challenges are user
missions that lucky members of the HU community who submitted
missions to share were also chosen to be made into challenges,
beta testers and programmers submitted theirs too giving you
the best of their creative talents at work. This will give you
many hours of hunting exciting missions. Your trusty Horse to
carry you over rough terrain. The ATV was improved to give you
faster vehicle, and a bit more stable getting you across the
map in record time. Of course the target range is packed full
of fun things to shoot as well as being able to clear your
targets and test all the weapons out. Sighting in your weapons
with the use of the MOA charts listed in the Guide.

There’s 2 new maps…Upper Midwest and South Central Plains,
which were detailed more than before. The graphics on the
water is superb.

Your not a member yet!! Well come join the excitement,
download tournaments from HU2, HU3, HU4, and now HU2008. You
have different choices of scoring tournaments; Tourney,
Weight, or Long Shot tourneys are available to download. Play
the tourneys then submit your score string in the Upload
Trophies… great way to compete with your buds, relatives, and
clan mates.

Register and enjoy the vast growing community, you’ll meet
members from all regions of the World.

Hunting Unlimited 2009 has been released and is beginning to
show up in stores and available on line. This guide will be
updated in the near future to reflect the changes to creating
missions in HU2009.

In the meantime, if you like to get a taste of the action, go
to our HU4 Videos page and enjoy.

The HU3 User’s Guide is a work in a progress.

If this is your first visit, please take the time to read the
Introduction to the Guide. You can find the link to all pages
in the Table of Contents menu on the right.

The TOC uses a collapsible menu. As you click on a Section,
it will open that page and list all Sub-Sections in the in the
TOC.

A quick word about this “home” page. This is our update page,
where periodic announcements will be made. Other than this
message which is “sticky” on the top, all other announcements
will be chronological, with the newest first.

HU Site (link to the site is up on the top of this page) for
downloading the on line HU2, HU3, and the new HU4 Tourney’s
..they are back !!! There is also a nice forum if you have any
questions or want to get to know the members you are competing
with. Player’s scores are reset twice a year ..Jan 1st and
July 1st both at midnight GMT.
