HU User’s Guide

** This guide has been created to assist you as a Hunter with getting the most out of the popular Hunting Unlimited Series games the most recently being released in August of 2007 is 2008 PC game Additional sections are added for the HU2008 game. With a very big growing community at the SCS HU’s Website. Link below or at the top of this article. To guide you through.. step-by-step.. the process of creating your own user missions. There is a HU3 and HU4 help file that came with your games. I felt that it needed a bit more detailing with creating user missions and to add info about both games.
** I want to express my biggest thanks to SCS Software, the hard dedicated programmers for providing us with all the HU games. Our many thanks for all their support and help in creating and returning to us all; by creating the newly opened “Hunting Unlimited – Tournament site!!” They returned the on-line tourney’s to us again! Stop in and register, you will meet some very cool and competitive hunters; like yourself. You will be surprised in the long lasting friends you will make, while enjoying the tourneys.

** Our thanks and best wishes to all the previously employed staff at Arush, which provided the previous publishing for all the HU games we enjoy today. They were the host for the previous HU, HU2, HU3 sites, so your game will not link to the old HU sites at this time. Unfortunately, decisions in the best planned judgments.. don’t always pan out. We were left with a big gap, when their sites went offline in July and lost the in the on-line tourneys, provided by Arush. They didn’t plan on this happening and we are saddened by the loss of Arush, which due to legalities with HIP Entertainment (out of Canada), they were forced to dissolved the company this last summer.

** Our thanks to ValuSoft THQ, for their distributing the games to popular stores in your area. There is a new collection of all 3 of the games which includes HU, HU2,and HU3. Releasing under the title of “The Hunting Unlimited Trophy Collections PC”, this was released in a new package deal which you may purchase at your local stores in the fall/winter of 2005. The Hunting Unlimited Series PC games are the best hunting game, by far on the market. And the released Hunting Unlimited 4 PC game was also published by ValuSoft THQ and released October of 2006. Recently, releasing Hunting Unlimited 2008 in June 2007.
**My thanks to Big~Daddy, for publishing, hosting the guide to this site, helping with the layout, his input in some of the text, and for putting up with my hair pulling …at times ideas to be included in this Guide. And thanks to reddy,( previous hosting the HU Guide) for without both of (Big~D’s and him) their help in this guide would never had made it this far.

• After you have installed the HU2008 game you should view the HU2008 (HU3 and HU4 are in pdf formate now) help guide; it’s is also listed in your game menu. Be sure your game disk is in your cd rom. Click the Start key, Programs; go to Hunter Unlimited 2008 Help. View and read the HU2008 help screen; listed on the left is the menu, click and it will take you to the different titles. The game has Challenges, Free Hunts, Tourneys, Weapons Locker, Your Own Trophy Room filled with the tagged beasts you have acquired, plus the User Mission, Game Animals; animal’s description, Map description, your Hunter’s Profile, Help, Options, and many treasures you will discover while searching for your ultimate animal to fill your trophy room with. The New Hunting Unlimited- Tourney site It is by far the best family style forum site with an outstanding hunting community whose members will be glad to assist you. There are both HU2, HU3, HU4, and HU2008 Tournaments to Download, play, upload your string score, and compete with other hunters and clans (you may wish to join one of the clans or create your own clan with 5 members you befriend) whom have submitted their scores online as well. A cheerful forum that is packed full of interesting hunting topics.

** If your new to playing the Hunting Unlimited Games .. my suggestion is to play the Challenges. It has several tutorial missions, explaining with checkpoints and teaches you how to use your controls.
