HU User’s Guide

** Titles and Score board are the titles of the missions and game scores you have played. Those you created or downloaded from other players. They are stored in C:\My Documents\Hunting Unlimited 2008\missions folder. Description “This will appear with a N/A if not filled out.” The brief description is written under the Editor Map Screen in the Toggle Workspace Window under the General Settings pop up window. Note: the map, time of hunt, weather conditions, number and/or species of animal tags will all appear above the description box.

** Below the description box you will see the possible bonus hit icons; they appear as a different graphic deer symbol, depending on what was chosen. This includes a time limit clock symbol which will appear and give bonus points if the hunt is completed within the time allotment. When clicking the NEW button it will open the Select Area window, which includes a list of maps to choose for the location of the in hunt.

** The Filename is to be typed in the space provided. Note the warning: Changing this filename by using “rename” in the mission folder may have the potential results in an incorrect loading of the missions and its contents. It is advised not to rename the filename after this step is done, return to the user mission screen and DELETE the mission and start over creating a NEW one. You may EDIT your mission at anytime.

** The ACCESSORIES option allows a creator to include a primary and/or secondary weapon with the option of the hunter having a scope or none. The HUNTING EQUIPMENT includes miscellaneous items and is to be selected here as well. If the word N/A appears in either the weapons or equipment it is inactive. Note: these options are found under the User Mission Editor Map Screen under the Toggle Workspace Window in the Gear Settings and will be covered in details later. Note: Hu4 layout is basically the same as the HU3 photo below.
